My dhclient-script file was also corrupted. Based on the previous post, I then thought to be smart by specifying "another" script (being : a copy of the good original) dhclient-script but then specifying that other script on the command-line, like apparently done by NetworkManager. So with that original dhclient-script file copied (preserving file mode flags) onto the filename dhclient-script.copy, I killed the original dhclient process, and modified the commandline command into /sbin/dhclient6 -6 -cf /var/lib/dhcp6/dhclient6.eth1.conf -lf /var/lib/dhcp6/dhclient6.eth1.lease -pf /var/run/dhclient6.eth1.pid -sf /sbin/dhclient-script.copy -q eth1 (notice my option "-sf"). In no time, dhclient-script.copy was corrupt too. The culprit so HAS to be the /sbin/dhclient6. What puzzles me, is that once the IPv6 (in my case) address is given by my dhcp6 server, even with this corrupt script, the IPv6 address is still renewed ! (I have short lifetimes, so I'd notice the IPv6 address being lost within a minute). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
