https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=445035 Summary: unable to burn media due to a missing libnsssharedhelper.so.0 Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Beta 4 Platform: x86 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: martin.konopka@stuba.sk QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- my PC: 32-bit notebook environment: KDE 4.1 At the moment I have installed openSUSE 11.1 Beta4 and I would like to burn Beta5 on DVD and test it. However burning with K3b does not work - it can not erase my old medium which I would like to use for Beta5 now. It can only erase CD-RW. (And in fact all my attempts to reuse a rewritable medium, either CD or DVD, by burning it with K3b failed, also on older releases of openSUSE. Hence I usually use Brasero.) I now tried to use Brasero, first I had to install it. Its installation (including docs and lang) from yast menu failed, nothing have been installed. (Many many messages that something is missing or so. And I did have the Beta 4 installation medium in the drive) Then I tried to run command (as root) zypper install brasero and it worked. However after trying to launch brasero I get an error brasero: error while loading shared libraries: libnsssharedhelper.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory and the program does not start. Since I am not too much familiar with command-line erasing and burning tools this problem makes me more difficult and time-consuming to burn and test the next beta version. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
