https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=449111 Summary: allow unattended installation Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: libzypp AssignedTo: zypp-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: estellnb@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Community of Practice It happens quite often that a download can not be completed in time;- applies to YaST as well as direct usage of zypper. Baixando: kdelibs3-3.5.10-31.1.x86_64.rpm [erro (187 B/s)] Timeout exceed Cancelar, repetir ou ignorar? [C/r/i]: r Why not initiate an auto-retry in the background while the user is asked what to do. If the download in the background succeeds the prompt message in the foreground should disappear to continue as if nothing had gone wrong (like the insert cd dialogue disappears if a cd is inserted but no dialugue button is pressed). The timeout interval can initially be small an enlarged for further attempts. If downloading should at least really be impossible and the user does not respond within a certain period of time ignore could be autoselected. p.s.: it depends very much on the internet connection if a download can be completed within a certain time; a better algorithm than simply increasing the download time would be to check if new data has been received in the last second - and to restart the download as soon as no more data is received (reopeen connection). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
