Main reason is that gethostbyname() returns two IPv4 addresses for the hostname (therefore the software cannot determine a single IP for connection > and ends with error)
Have that software fixed. I can't but close this as a feature, there is hardly any way how to fix this (in the installation or YaST code) in openSUSE 11.2. All in all, there is the above mentioned workaround.
OK, I will just add a little more knowledge. The problem is actually not in the existence of the 127.0.0.2 loopback, but in the fact, that this loopback is bound to the machines hostname (in /etc/hosts). -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
