https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=211379 ------- Comment #11 from andreas.hanke@gmx-topmail.de 2006-12-02 08:17 MST ------- Think I found it: GNOME likes to use this pseudo-category for all uncategorized applications. To reproduce, remove the "Categories=" line from any .desktop file. Now, the entry associated with this .desktop file will show up in the "Applications" pseudo-category. I remember this being a problem in the past, when not all .desktop files had proper "Categories=" lines yet. The "Applications" menu was very quickly stuffed with all kinds of unsorted junk. Why does GNOME still do this? Nowadays, all modern .desktop files can be assumed to have a proper "Categories=" lines. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
