https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=694136 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=694136#c0 Summary: gdm-3.0.0 only works with autologin / does relogin after logout Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: seife@novell.slipkontur.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Third Party Developer/Partner Blocker: --- With gdm from current FACTORY (the same for gdm from GNOME:Factory), after a logout the user is immediately logged in again. This is a security problem, since someone at the console can kill the locked X session with ctrl-alt-backspace and will be immediately logged in again into an unlocked session. In order to work around this, I tried to remove the DISPLAYMANAGER_AUTOLOGIN entry from /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager, but then the session refused to come up. The only fix was to downgrade to gdm-2.32.0 from factory-tested. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
