https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=253410 Summary: Problems with KDE tray icon apps in Gnome panel Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: felix.rommel@web.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Use Case: User Fritz likes the ease of Gnome. But he does not wants to work without a clipboard application and wants the full configurability of Kontact for his office work. That's why he starts korgac, klipper and opensuseupdater at Gnome startup. Error description: When logging in to Gnome for example the korgac tray icon symbol sometimes won't appear in Gnome panel but sits somewhere on the desktop. How to reproduce: Start some KDE apps at Gnome startup. Paste the following apps in Gnome session settings dialog: - korgac - klipper - opensuseupdater Now log out and in again a few times. Some of the KDE apps tray icons won't appear in Gnome panel but somewhere on the desktop. Seems that the Gnome systray applet has an error. This happened many times to me. In KDE this error never happened that some Gnome apps tray icons where not placed in KDE systray...
