Then it won't start pulseaudio but the system will you directly ALSA backend. Give it a try. Note that phonon is a KDE sound backend, which communicates with different sound subsystems. Also, you may uninstall libflashsupport although it should work even installed. But, you can uninstall it to be sure. Reconfiguring the sound driver means to kill *ALL* sound applications. Of course, kmix will be killed by that. Thus, this action doesn't guarantee that the desktop will continue to work as before.
