The T520 has one of the new combined plugs for headsets (one jack with Mic and loudspeaker, as used with phones as well), instead of two separate plugs for Mic and loudspeaker. The effect is that once you plug in the single jack, it switches loudspeaker, but not microphone from build-in to external. You can not even select the external microphone in KMix, but in Pavucontrol (which is not installed by default). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. plug in headset 2. 3.
