I have a Sierra Wireless USB AirCard; when I plug it in I get the following in the system log: usb 2-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 2 usb 2-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice usb 2-1: New USB device found, idVendor=1199, idProduct=0fff usb 2-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3 usb 2-1: Product: USB MMC Storage usb 2-1: Manufacturer: Sierra Wireless usb 2-1: SerialNumber: SWOC22905731 Initializing USB Mass Storage driver... usb-storage: device ignored usbcore: registered new interface driver usb-storage USB Mass Storage support registered. usbcore: registered new interface driver usbserial drivers/usb/serial/usb-serial.c: USB Serial support registered for generic usbcore: registered new interface driver usbserial_generic drivers/usb/serial/usb-serial.c: USB Serial Driver core drivers/usb/serial/usb-serial.c: USB Serial support registered for Sierra USB mo dem sierra: probe of 2-1:1.0 failed with error -5 usbcore: registered new interface driver sierra drivers/usb/serial/sierra.c: USB Driver for Sierra Wireless USB modems: v.1.2.8 usb 2-1: USB disconnect, address 2 hub 6-0:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 3 usb 2-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 3 usb 2-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice sierra 2-1:1.0: Sierra USB modem converter detected usb 2-1: Sierra USB modem converter now attached to ttyUSB0 usb 2-1: Sierra USB modem converter now attached to ttyUSB1 usb 2-1: Sierra USB modem converter now attached to ttyUSB2 usb 2-1: New USB device found, idVendor=1199, idProduct=6856 usb 2-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0 usb 2-1: Product: AirCard usb 2-1: Manufacturer: Sierra Wireless, Incorporated .. so the card is seen by the system itself. When I try to add this card to KNetworkManager (via Edit connections --> New Connection) my only options are wired, wireless, and VPN. Right click on the kNetworkManager icon --> New Connection only shows eth0 and wlan0. So, I don't have any means to add this connection to KNetworkManager. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
