http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=960856 Bug ID: 960856 Summary: denyhosts does not work when systemd-logger is installed Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 42.1 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: 3rd party software Assignee: lrupp@suse.com Reporter: Vojtech.Zeisek@opensuse.org QA Contact: opensuse-communityscreening@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- denyhosts doesn't work (on fresh Leap 42.1 installation), because by default systemd-logger is installed and running and denyhosts require /var/log/messages to read from it. User must manually install some other logging daemon like rsyslog to replace systemd-logger (which may cause another issues). According to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=988814 (they had same problem) this should be fixed in systemd 204, but there is 210 in Leap and it has been still broken. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
