Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: simon.lewis@slnet-online.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:1.9.2.12) Gecko/20101026 SUSE/3.6.12-0.7.1 Firefox/3.6.12 To be able to install the canon mp520 drivers I need to install the following files in 32 bit parallel to the 64 bit versions: libgimp-2.0.so.0 libgimpmath-2.0.so.0 libgimpcolor-2.0.so.0 libgimpbase-2.0.so.0 Most other distros including Fedora 12/13/14 split the lib files from the application package so that the 32 bit libs can be installed for the printer drivers that need them. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Try to install canon mp520 printer drivers using zypper! Actual Results: To install printer drivers I must downgrade the complete installation architecture to 586. (Fedora just installs the 32 bit libs..!) Expected Results: Zypper should just install the dependent 32 bit libs which should be packaged separately for this purpose -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
