https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=377441 Summary: Boot Option "Failsafe" is meaningless to users Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: PC OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Usability AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: alpha096@virginbroadband.com.au QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Customer I was demoing OpenSuse to a few friends, strictly users and at the Boot option menu many asked what the meaning of "FailSafe' Boot Option and all the lines 'of code' that appeared at the bottom when this option was selected. I was really stuck for an answer to satisfy a general user. Indeed we have in many ways forgotten about the user here. In version 11.0 could be possibly change this boot option to something that has meaning to a user. After all, is that not our intent, to create an easy to use interface that a user is happy to use and understand. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
