https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=707746 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=707746#c0 Summary: yast2 autofs obstacles Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: squan@web.de QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/4.6; Linux) KHTML/4.6.5 (like Gecko) SUSE 1) yast2 runlevel When selecting autofs the required nfs service will not be activated and thus not work, no diagnostic message is given. 2) yast2 autofs does not run without having LDAP configured. Thus it can not be used to setup simple NFS access to e.g. a NAS. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Try to use "yast2 autofs" for setup autofs => Result: yast2 exits with "LDAP configuration error" 2. manually edit autofs configuration files 3. configure firewall to open required ports 4. start "yast2 runlevel" and activate "autofs" => result: access to remote fs fails (no such file or directory) Expected Results: yast2 runlevel should automatically activate "nfs" when the user selects "autofs" (like "rpcbind" is activated when selecting "nfs"). If would also be nice if "yast2 autofs" would not require LDAP and if it would do activation of nfs and opening of required ports (may be it already does). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
