http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=559016 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=559016#c0 Summary: Amarok corrupts collection when selecting "Organise Files" Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: colin.pendred@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Opera/9.80 (X11; Linux x86_64; U; en-GB) Presto/2.2.15 Version/10.10 Using Amarok to organise the files in my Music directory causes it to corrupt the mp3 / m4a in the the directory. Rescanning the collection will temporarily show the files again (often putting them under Various Artists rather than their original listing), but they disappear shortly afterwards. The tags of the mp3 may also get corrupted. If a backup of the music folder hasn't been made before doing this, then the damage may be irreversible. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. In the Collection tab, right click on Local Collection and select "Organise Files" 2. Wait while Amarok rebuilds the structure Actual Results: Number of tracks will have reduced; if you look in the physical directory, then the missing track may have been renamed (e.g. had its file extension removed). If you are still able to see it in Amarok, then the tags may have been messed up. Expected Results: File should simply have been relocated. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
