https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=406097 Summary: Delay during open of GNOME start menu Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: siegfried.olschner@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- New installation of openSUSE 11 with Gnome. The machine is up since 23 hours. It seems that the start menu will need more and more time to open. Yesterday evening it needed about 3-4 seconds, now I can count to 12. It's also a delay visible during in the interaction with the start menu items. After a re-boot the reaction time was "normal" (below 1 sec.). It is not perfect because there is a small delay but acceptable. Perhaps this behavior is based on the hardware. It's a 4 years old Intel prototype machine, but with standard graphics card. I did not found a bug describing a similar experience.
