I mean, it's good to know that the problem isn't mine only, but seems to be reproducible on another board with the same chipset. Your symptoms look exactly like mine ... just, that I can decide whether I want to work (ps/2 keyboard and all usb devices on the PCI card) or rather want to crash the system (all on onboard USB) .. usually doesn't take a few hours, then. With just the mouse, though, this would fit. Yes, checked the cabling, though there is not much to check - the USB ports are all directly on the back panel of the board; the problem occurs with more than one usb gadget, thus, at least two or even three usb cables would have to be defect. Also, neither the port nor the bus influences the problem, so, it looks like something that touches both buses/hcd the same way ... I checked the power connectors; if it is a power problem, I'd rather guess the power supply itself ... it's a "430W Seasonic M12II SLI ATX/EPS 120er Lüfter, Stecksystem, 80plus, 2*12V, SLI, 2*PCI-E, 6*SATA, 100-240V" ... http://www.seasonicusa.com/M12II.htm .. Something else ... you probably noticed, but for me, this was new ... Predecessor boards (GeForce MCP51, some ASUS M2N-###, actually) had "just" two USB controllers, w/o any direct E/OHCI information: 00:0b.0 USB Controller: nVidia Corporation MCP51 USB Controller (rev a3) 00:0b.1 USB Controller: nVidia Corporation MCP51 USB Controller (rev a3) while the 8300/8200/MCP78S has four ... two OHCI and EHCI, each ... 077b MCP78S [GeForce 8200] OHCI USB 1.1 Controller 077c MCP78S [GeForce 8200] EHCI USB 2.0 Controller 077d MCP78S [GeForce 8200] OHCI USB 1.1 Controller 077e MCP78S [GeForce 8200] EHCI USB 2.0 Controller Maybe the E/OHCI driver is unable to cope with two controllers that are responsible for the same "devices" (both host devices and gadgets)? No idea which of the two approaches is "normal" ... -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
