Scanning the ELF files shows, as far as I can see, no overlapping symbols that might cause mayhem, and the ABI should be right despite the use of dlsym. Trying to just launch it, I also get a different output: $ modem-manager-gui (modem-manager-gui:1957): Gtk-WARNING **: Could not find signal handler 'mmgui_main_sms_new_disable_spellchecker_signal'.
