I'm afraid we cannot do much with the first problem. The b43 driver is created by reverse-engineering of closed source drivers for other operating systems. Nobody has a specification and Broadcom expressed no interest in helping Linux to create drivers. So, I'm afraid we cannot do anything with the PHY transmission error. The only people who might (and might not) be able to help are the people who are closely familiar with the reverse-engineered specifications, i. e. the upstream developers. You can try to send a bug report to them (see http://linuxwireless.org/en/developers/maintainers for the contacts) but please be sure to enable all debug options and post the full dmesg log if you want to get any reply. The second problem seems to be more serious. The PHY transmission errors should definitely not cause a freeze nor a crash. Please attach a complete part of /var/log/messages from boot to the crash. Can you attach a serial console to the box? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
