After creating and analyzing a core file, I found out some details:
Core was generated by `gnucash'.
Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault.

It seems /usr/lib64/libGL.so.1 is a leftover from an old nvidia driver, which
now caused this crash.
After moving away /usr/lib64/libGL.*, gnucash works again :-)
