https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=678708 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=678708#c0 Summary: KDE Packagekit applet is often preventin Yast/Zypper from working Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: libzypp AssignedTo: zypp-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: timshel@rocketmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- If the KDE Packagekit applet is refreshing in the background you can't use Yast sw_single o Zypper. This might be intentional but even after the refresh installing packages is blocked with the zypper message: PackageKit is still running (probably busy). Try again? [yes/no] (no): yes Replying with yes doesn't help until you kill packagekit manually. I normally install updates with Zypper but Packagekit doesn't realize it. If I click on the icon and on refresh it takes ages on a Core i processor to do so and even when it is finished you can't install anything. I think it was possible in 11.3 with Zypper to tell Packagekit to quit during a refresh or similar which worked most of the time. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
