https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=399591 Summary: minimal textmode installation via vnc does not install icewm, but fvwm Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: PowerPC OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: yast2-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: olh@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- If 11.0 is installed via vnc with the 'minimal textmode' instead of kde/gnome/etc, icewm will not be installed. The second stage will have fvwm as window manager. As a result, the yast2 window title is displayed and everything is shifted, the buttons in the lower part cant be read. There is code in yast to force installation of fvwm2 in case of a vnc installation. This code should be changed to use icewm instead. Related: fvwm2 is installed when remote vnc administration is enabled, but I think fvwm2 is not required anymore for remote administration. y2logs once I have them, grep in y2sources should find the place (I hope). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
