Since that time I have not seen that behavior again. With the original logs being lost, its not clear to me that we will find a root cause in this case. From my perspective, it will be fine to mark this as being non-reproducible. OTOH, the bug has taken a turn towards determining why I am generating several Mib of log messages a day.
