https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=216144 Summary: No way back to automatic network search Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Beta 1 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: gh55@heinzel.name QAContact: jsrain@novell.com BugsThisDependsOn: 216143 In a new 10.2 beta 1 installation, at a certain point network connections are automatically configured. At this point I never have my cables connected for some reason (e.g. I use them on the old PC which is still working). After no network is found, there is no way to return to the automatic configuration. Suggestion: 1) Insert a pause with message "Please connect network if available" or something similar before automatic network configuration and/or 2) provide a way to restart automatic network configuration The same goes also for other hardware that may be powered off during package coying from DVD. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
