I didn't expect bigger memory needs for server without X." It actually does not matter how much you install in the end, the package solver needs to load _all_ package data from _all_ repositories. And for example the OSS repository contains over 20.000 (!) packages, for every package you need to load its dependencies (requires/provides), package metadata (summary, description, size, arch, ...), and that's huge amount of data. For me the only solution is to display a warning about possible crash/freeze when using online repos on a system with 1GB RAM or less... -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
