https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=267016 Summary: rdesktop segfaults after recent update of X.org Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.1 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: sndirsch@novell.com ReportedBy: rbh@math.ku.dk QAContact: sndirsch@novell.com After installing the latest security updates of X.org, rdesktop starts making segmentation faults. It appears the XCreateImage() returns NULL in situations that returned something meaningful before the update. This is probably related to bug no. 266842 (opera segfaults after installing X.org online update on all architectures) which has been reported for 10.2. There might be more applications out there having problems. I've seen the same behaviour on 9.3 (yes, I know, it's end-of-lifed). In a recent posting on an rdesktop mailing list a temporary solution is suggested: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_name=200704200903.14367.mlrdesktop%40noci.xs4all.nl&forum_name=rdesktop-users -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
