https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=483211 User abittner@stud.fh-heilbronn.de added comment https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=483211#c9 --- Comment #9 from andreas bittner <abittner@stud.fh-heilbronn.de> 2009-03-10 05:42:34 MST --- i have added the logfiles from the second try i made of installing opensuse 11.2 alpha0. this was the one where i first found the signal 6 error. anyways, something interesting i discovered: today when i rebooted my testsetup with this second try of opensuse 11.2 the last part of the opensuse yast2 installer came up again even before the kde4 login prompt, and told me that the previous installation or something went bad and was incomplete and that i maybe needed to enter loads of stuff again and that install needed to restart and ask me some questions (the second part of yast2 install after the kexec), so it once again showed some progress bars of networking and autoinstall and such things, and then again the yast2 gui based setup crashed and exited back to text-like mode with the error messags, but it never asked anything of me. whithin a few seconds the progressbars were gone and the crash happened again the same way as during original setup time..... so in my attachment that i just added, you should actually find this very last step from the second yast2 setup part with network and autoconfig only and maybe you can analyze the error more easily as there should be far less messages to take a look at. after crashing back to textmode the font parsing and generating stuff lines come up again and then eventually kde4 logon screen gets started and i can again only type in root and logon as root. no other users exist greetings and regards -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
