http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=967203 Bug ID: 967203 Summary: GRUB2 Update - despite RC_LANG set to de_DE.UTF-8 boot screen language is English Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.1 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 42.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Release Notes Assignee: ke@suse.com Reporter: donald@curtisliberty.de QA Contact: coolo@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Leap 42.1 GRUB2 update to 2.02~beta2 (Build Date : Tuesday 29 December 2015 10:31:55 CET). RC_LANG = de_DE.UTF-8 RC_LC_CTYPE="de_DE.UTF-8" (All RC_LC_??? definitions are de_DE.UTF-8 except RC_LC_ALL="") After the update the boot screen was displaying English language text. Rewrote /boot/grub2/grub.cfg with YaST and the German language boot screen returned. The same issue occurs with kernel updates. Suggest that this behaviour (and solution) be included in the Release Notes. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
