The vnc protos happily coexist with the X11 protos, and as they are clearly extending the X11 protocol (/usr/include/extensions/vnc*), they just *belong* into the X11 development package series. As the licenses are clearly stated in each file, no copyright violation is in place. Due to the MIT-like license (replace GPL here with change of meaning for the vnc code) code may be reused in compatible ways as long as authorship is not changed / claimed, even for a different package. Besides, we never, ever, have heard from a X developer that they are discontent with our packaging scheme. ATM X.org does not have a trademark. Bugs regarding SuSE packages should never be submitted upstream anyway, unless indicated by the package maintainers (or if you really *know* what you're doing). It could be related to packaging or to a SuSE only patch after all. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
