https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=845651 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=845651#c0 Summary: kdm - cannot login non-local users Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Factory Version: 13.1 Beta 1 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: gleixner@lrz.de QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: Beta-Customer Blocker: Yes Installed 13.1 RC1, no local user, but root password. After install, there is no form to enter the user name, only the password. So i got to the console login, configured kerberos and ldap clients. Ldap client did not work first, because yast did configure it with nss_ldap. On the 2nd try this worked and yast configured sssd. After a reboot the login screen did not change, but if i enter a password, it tells me that there is a Fatal Error. Btw.: during booting screen is black, and switching from kdm to console shows a dialog that contains a lie: kdm is not coming back. If i add a local user, i can login using this user, but still not with ldap/kerberos users. If i change "enumerate" to yes in sssd it works as well, but this looks really really ugly and is really really bad if you have more than a dozen of users. Look at the snapshots. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
