changelog (I do not know how or where to toggle the fglrx workaround):
* Fri Jun 11 2010 dimstar@opensuse.org - bnc#613597: Add fade to the default configuration
* Wed Jun 02 2010 dimstar@opensuse.org - Add compiz-manager-sm-client-id patch to avoid a 10 second timeout of gnome-session waiting for the window manager to register with the session. - Default config: enable as_fglrx_xgl_fix workaround.
Ok, this means the install you have has the 'previous' compiz-manager installed which has the workaround enabled (which solved some machines from crashing. But as said: the driver got fixed meanwhile). Next version of compiz-manager (that is in Factory already) has the default setting set off again. you have various choices on how to 'fix' it on your machine: (alternatives) 1) Get the new compiz-manager from Factory then rm "$HOME/.config/compiz/compizconfig-1/Default.ini" to reset the configuration. On next login / start of c-m, a new template config will be installed 2) Change "$HOME/.config/compiz/compizconfig-1/Default.ini" using a text editor and remove as_fglrx_xgl_fix = true from the [Workarounds] Section, then re-login. 3) Install compizconfig-settins-manager, launch ccsm, find the workarounds in the menu and disable FGLRX workaround. Please let me know if this helps you. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
