Wizard takes me through entire process as expected, but on applying changes gives a weird error and fails to commit the change. Just to be clear, I have used this hardware before. Plasmoid has not worked correctly for Mobile Broadband configuration in the past. Work-around is to use the nm-applet for GNOME. I did that, and the change took and hardware is online. This error looks to be entirely caused by the failure to ask for root authentication. I do not remember the Wizard working correctly in the past (I may be mistaken here). I tried running KDE SystemSettings as root using KDESU and got the same error. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Expected Results: I thought it would work since the Wizard was showing everything correct, and seems to have achieved successful configuration. lsusb Bus 001 Device 006: ID 03f0:1f1d Hewlett-Packard un2400 Gobi Wireless Modem using qcserial gobi-loader built from source Correct firmware obtained from http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-77755-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4062&product=4051838&sw_lang= -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
