It looks as if this is the time to stop disabling ACPI, and I've told the department so. Which is why I regard my resolution as such. We have been freely using acpi=off in grub for a few years, because ACPI was causing unwanted shutdowns of our linux servers, seemingly in response to spurious temperature readings from the BIOS. It became the first thing to try if the machine was shutting down unpredictably, and it was retained even if there turned out to be a problem with RAM or disc. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
