https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=657062 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=657062#c0 Summary: Use gtk-oxygen-engine as default in kcm_gtk instead of oxygen-molecule Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: speilicke@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Depends on: 657057 Found By: --- Blocker: --- I suggest using gtk-oxygen-engine currently found in KDE:Factory:Extra as the default theming engine for GTK+ apps in a KDE session. This way (and contrary to oxygen-molecule), the color scheme would also be honored and custom solutions like MozillaFirefox-theme-oxygen aren't necessary any more. Altough the engine isn't yet perfect, IMO it already improves visuals with regard to the current solutions. The engine is there, we just have to set it as the default in kcm_gtk. So far, I've tested Firefox3, OpenOffice (not Libre) and Ekiga, all looking good (with the exception of Firefox tab headers).
