Debugged this together with Timo.
While knetworkmanager seems indeed a bit more broken than nm-applet, also the
NetworkManager backend itself does not reacct correctly.
This is partly caused by ipw3945 not supporting hidden networks anymore and the
new driver iwl3945 not working at all.
So in short, we see blocker errors in NetworkManager backend, clients and the
hardware drivers blocking. udev name of wlan0_rename is also questionable.
YES, I know, I can create separate bugreports for each issue. But the purpose
of this report is mainly considering to go back, since Factory has currently a
complete broken network setup and we want to keep factory in working state. The
current state fits IMHO perfectly in some OBS project.
