What does exist is /usr/share/icons/HighContrast/32x32/status/mail-unread.png Some more info for PID 3133: arun 3133 0.0 0.0 205872 6488 tty2 Ssl+ 08:27 0:00 /usr/lib/gdm/gdm-x-session --run-script i3 Not sure if this is a bug in i3 or if that icon should be in the gnome directory.
