Removing the pulseaudio package results in the following changes listed at the bottom. Strangely enough, it doesn't remove "PulseAudio Sound Server" from gstreamer-properties, and sound continues to work when I select pulseaudio as my sound server. No crashes in pidgin under autodetect or PulseAudio Sound Server with pulseaudio removed. I do have other pulseaudio-related packages still installed, though: - alsa-plugins-pulse, libpulse-browse0, libpulse-mainloop-glib0, libpulse0, libpulse0-32bit, padevchooser, paman, paprefs, pavucontrol, pavumeter, pulseaudio-utils 2009-07-10 15:29:20|remove |pulseaudio-module-bluetooth|0.9.14-2.2.1|x86_64|root@linux-desktop 2009-07-10 15:29:20|remove |pulseaudio-module-gconf|0.9.14-2.2.1|x86_64|root@linux-desktop 2009-07-10 15:29:20|remove |pulseaudio-module-lirc|0.9.14-2.2.1|x86_64|root@linux-desktop 2009-07-10 15:29:20|remove |pulseaudio-module-x11|0.9.14-2.2.1|x86_64|root@linux-desktop 2009-07-10 15:29:21|remove |pulseaudio-module-zeroconf|0.9.14-2.2.1|x86_64|root@linux-desktop 2009-07-10 15:29:21|remove |pulseaudio-esound-compat|0.9.14-2.2.1|x86_64|root@linux-desktop 2009-07-10 15:29:21|remove |pulseaudio-lang|0.9.14-2.2.1|x86_64|root@linux-desktop 2009-07-10 15:29:22|remove |pulseaudio|0.9.14-2.2.1|x86_64|root@linux-desktop # 2009-07-10 15:29:25 esound-daemon-0.2.39-4.1.x86_64.rpm installed ok # Additional rpm output: # Updating etc/sysconfig/esound... # 2009-07-10 15:29:25|install|esound-daemon|0.2.39-4.1|x86_64||repo-oss|d8e10dc59bbd3acf6b9f74fec730df94b62b6568 -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
