https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=740121 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=740121#c0 Summary: YaST2 Mail Transfer Agent: "Error Cannot read mail server preventions." at load Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mettius@tol-lamfirith.org QAContact: jsrain@suse.com Depends on: 484363 Found By: --- Blocker: --- Fast forward 2+ years and 3 SuSE versions. I am still seeing this error. I've commented out the /etc/hosts ipv6 localhost line, this has no effect. The error still appears. Where is YaST2 attempting to read the "mail server preventions" from? +++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #484363 +++ Created an attachment (id=278867) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=278867) output of "rpm -qa > installed_rpms.txt" User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.7) Gecko/2009021910 Firefox/3.0.7 Mail Transfer Agent YaST2 Module cannot read mail server prevention information after initial configuration and re-entry into the module. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Setup LDAP Server and Client on localhost via YaST2 modules. 2.Enter/Run YaST2 Mail Transfer Agent module, configure with Advanced checkbox, accept defaults (so that module configures to use above localhost LDAP directory). 3.Modify settings in "Mailserver Preventions" section of module. Save/Exit. 4. Rerun YaST2 Mail Transfer Agent module, observe error after providing correct LDAP admin password. (See screenshot, attached) Actual Results: Mailserver Prevention section of module is not configurable within YaST2 Expected Results: Mailserver Preveiont section of module should be configurable, and settings read without error on re-entry to YaST2 MTA module. See installed_yast_modules.txt and installed_rpms.txt for lists of RPMs installed on system. I have been able to reproduce this issue 100% on multiple installs. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
