https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=461613 Summary: Unable to boot after making changes to boot loader Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: i386 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Bootloader AssignedTo: jsrain@novell.com ReportedBy: jrock@fmbv.nu QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Community User I removed an extraneous entry (I had 2 entries for Windows) in the boot loader menu in Yast - System - Boot Loader. After this i can't boot my computer any more, I get "No operating system found" when booting. This has happened to some other people too: http://forums.opensuse.org/install-boot-login/402180-unable-boot-after-makin... I tried "Repair Installed System" from the 11.1 DVD, but it didn't help. The system couldn't fix the missing boot loader, it always complained about errors when I tried to add the Windows partition to the boot loader. Doing an Update(Upgrade?) from 11.1 DVD did fix the problem, although it didn't add my Windows XP partition in to the boot loader this time. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
