https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=663000 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=663000#c0 Summary: MySQL no longer auto-started after zypper dup Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Factory Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: mhrusecky@novell.com ReportedBy: suse-beta@cboltz.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Beta-Customer Blocker: --- zypper dup from 11.3 to Factory (11.4 between M5 and M6) MySQL is no longer auto-started since I did the upgrade - it looks like something has called "insserv -r mysql" in the upgrade process. I can manually start MySQL without problems. "insserv mysql" displays some (unrelated) error messages [1], but does its job - I now have rc[235].d/S*mysql and K*mysql links. The interesting question is why MySQL was insserv -r'd in the upgrade...
