http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=555615 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=555615#c8 --- Comment #8 from Dr. Werner Fink <werner@novell.com> 2009-12-08 16:50:08 UTC --- If blogd is used it simply creates its own pty/tty pair and talks to the kernel to switch /dev/console to the new tty ... blogd reads then /dev/console, writes a copy into its ring buffer or if writable to /var/log/boot.msg, and also puts the messages to the old physical devices of the former /dev/console ... This requires some resources. Now if you use ``quiet'' and/or ``fastboot'' in the kernels command line then in /etc/init.d/boot and /etc/init.d/rc the blogd is not started to not to use this resources. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
