https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=462683 Summary: Klamav: unable to enable auto-scan Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE3 AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: 178155@glocalnet.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- openSUSE 11.1 64-bit, KDE4 desktop. Installed Klamav and Dazuko from repo-oss and added "dazuko" to MODULES_LOADED_ON_BOOT. When trying to "Enable auto-scan from Klamav I get an error msg: "Can't Start On-Access Scanning! Check you have read permissions on file /dev/dazuko." Then I started Konqueror as root and changed the permissions of /dev/dazuko so that everyone have read permissons, -rw-rw-r--. Tried so enable auto-scan again but with the same error message. After reboot the permissions of /dev/dazuko are restored to default -rw-rw--- One more thing is that I had to select the Dazuko package manually, Klamav doesn't seem to have this as a dependecy which I think it should. I also think that the dazuko module should load on boot if the package is selected and installed. The not so experienced user, who wants to have an antivirus protection, should just have to select and install the Klamav-package and then "enable auto-scan" without having to bother about Dazuko and some file-permissions... -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
