I'm not sure I understand the "libgarcon-branding-openSUSE" part.
I originally installed from the 12.1 M2 live KDE disk. Then I added the gnome, xfce and lxde patterns in Yast software management. Then, when M3 was released, I did "zypper update" to bring it to M3 level.
The settings menu item was missing in M2, and I guess the update method might leave it missing it an additional package is required.
Yes, that is what I suspect, xfce4-branding-openSUSE used to not get rebuilt properly in Factory causing a number of such branding issues. So could you please provide the output of rpm -q libgarcon-branding-openSUSE and rpm -q --whatprovides libgarcon-branding
I took one of the two accounts I am using, and deleted all files with names beginning "."
mkdir OLD mv .??* OLD
(that is so I can recover them later if I need them).
That should be near enough to a pristine account. With that account, I logged into XFCE first (using kdm). I clicked on "default" for the initial panel setup. I still cannot find a menu item for the xfce settings manager.
OK, so it is not caused by per-account modifications. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
