After I added the KDE:Frameworks5 repository, set the priority to 90 (so higher than the all the others still sitting at the default of 99), and then ran an "Online Update," nothing showed up. Even if I launched "Software Management" and looked at a specific component, such as "plasma5-desktop," where I knew there should still be a newer version, it was still not shown as available (using the standard parenthesis notation).
I had to manually go to the versions tab of that component, and every component in KDE5, manually, and manually select 5.8.7 (or 5.32.0 for some components), in order to perform the upgrade. The first few times I thought I was done, I didn't get them all and my desktop was broken.
Is it supposed to be that difficult?
Not if you use KDE:Frameworks5:LTS as instructed on the wiki: https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:KDE_repositories#Long-Term-Support_Frameworks_an... Note that you need to use zypper dup --from <repo> to install it, the updater applet does not handle vendor changes and doing it manually is error-prone. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
