https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=330281 Summary: nvidia: nvidia-settings doesn't provide all resolutions for external monitor Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X11 3rd Party Driver AssignedTo: rohui@nvidia.com ReportedBy: anschneider@novell.com QAContact: sndirsch@novell.com Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=176037) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=176037) nvidia bug report log I have a Thinkpad T61 with a nVidia Quadro NVS 140M. If I attach a second monitor or beamer and try to clone the display, the attached monitor can only do 640x480 as resolution. Here is what I'm doing exactly: * open nvidia-settings * go to 'X Server Display Confituriation' * click on 'Detect Displays' * select the second (attached) display * click on Configure and Select Twinview * select clone mode The maximum resolution which is provided is only 640x480. This is annoying cause I can't do any presentations with my notebook using the nvidia driver. Let me know if you need more information. Thanks. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
