https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=304498#c3 --- Comment #3 from Eric Ward <eward@novell.com> 2007-11-07 17:26:59 MST --- I'm not sure if logging in and out is related since the machine I was able to reproduce the problem on was logged in with the test user for over 24 hours prior to reproducing the issue. I also rebooted the system and was able to successfully reproduce the problem. Anyway, here are some additional information about the tests that I ran. I tried using two x86_64 openSUSE 10.3 systems with f-spot-0.4.0-33 to reproduce this issue. On both machines assistive technologies and XGL were not configured or enabled. On one machine I was able to reproduce the issue, while on the other I was not. Below are the steps I took on the machine that I was able to consistently reproduce the issue on. - Login to a gnome desktop. In my case the user had been logged into the system for over 24 hours - Make sure no f-spot processes are running - From the command line remove the user's f-spot configuration files: rm -rf ~/.gnome2/f-spot - Start f-spot from a console. NOTE doing f-spot –debug did not provide any additional console output as far as I could tell with regards to this issue. f-spot - When Prompted to import, select the following folder and leave the default import options enabled (ie Copy files to the Photos folder, Include subfolders) /usr/share/icons/GnomeCrystal/ - Once the images are imported, select them all by clicking on the f-spot browser and then pressing <ctrl><a>. - Now select F-spot's File | Export | Export to CD... - When the Create CD dialog appears press the Ok button. I did NOT have either the “Write only these photos to CD” or “Autorotate” options enabled. I was then presented with the error message stating "No files were selected". There was no console output associated with this error. At this point I'm unsure of exactly what the secret to this bug is. However, JP, if you want to vnc into my test machine where the issue is reproducible in the next couple days to debug further, here is the information: vncviewer 137.65.170.21:1 username: vnc password: @novell -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
