http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=544507 Summary: vmware-toolbox disk shrink function does not work Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Milestone 8 Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: gorgoglione@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.0; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.4506.2152; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; OfficeLiveConnector.1.4; OfficeLivePatch.1.3) Running vmware-toolbox tool as root and going to the "shrink" tab, the list of available disk partitions is empty, hence is not possible to shrink available disks. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Install openSUSE 11.2-M8 into a VMware Workstation 6.5.3 virtual machine, with dinamically expandable virtual hard disks (no preallocated space) 2.Run vmware-toolbox as root and go to Shrink tab Actual Results: No disk partition is listed in Shrink tab, hence no partition can be shrinked Expected Results: I expected to see in Shrink tab the list of all disk partitions available in my virtal machine, so to select and shrink them. In openSUSE 11.1 this was working fine. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
