http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=536729 Summary: openldap: ldapi socket behind closed directory Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jengelh@medozas.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Beta-Customer Enabling ldapi (ldap over unix socket) is easy enough by changing /etc/sysconfig/openldap. However, the socket, located in /var/run/slapd/ldapi is inaccessible for regular users (e.g. nss_ldap) because /var/run/slapd has too restrictive modes (rwx------). This directory should, unless I am missing something, be made at least cd-able (rwx--x--x). -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
