https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=684774 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=684774#c1 --- Comment #1 from Michael Maurer <michael.maurer@hamburg.de> 2011-04-07 18:18:49 UTC --- One additional remark: I have tried to find the root cause for the slow performance myself and I assume that it is Java. If I disable Java, all files (even documents with more than 100 pages) will be opened rapidly. I have disabled Java, but LibreOffice will then start with an Error Message ("LibreOffice requires a Java runtime environment to perform this task. Please install a JRE and restart LibreOffice..."). The relevant function, which requires Java, seems to be - inter alia - the automatic spellcheck. Older versions of Opensuse / Openoffice (up to versions 11.3 / 3.2.1) do not show this effect. It is not a real "bug", but it is annoying, especially if you have to handle larger files and if you need the automatic spellcheck. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
