http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=544173 Summary: [KDE:KDE3] KDE3 session cannot be started because /opt/kde3/bin/startkde is missing Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: i686 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: 3rd party software AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: belphegor@belbel.or.jp QAContact: opensuse-communityscreening@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: Community User I'm now testing openSUSE-11.2-M8 and KDE3 (in openSUSE Build Service). After re-installing KDE3 related packages which duplicate in openSUSE (official) and Build Service (from openSUSE's one to Build Service's one) and newly installing kdebase3-session (in OBS), I've found that /opt/kde3/bin/startkde (in kdebase3-session package) is missing (so that KDE3 session does not appear in kdm's session menu. This file is required by /usr/share/xsessions/kde.desktop). On previous version (openSUSE-11.1), /opt/kde3/bin/startkde was included in kdebase3 package. I think it is caused by packaging mistake or some insufficient installation procedure. Please tell me how to fix it. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
